Truthfully, I am a child at heart and always will be! I love to play and I feel imagination is one of the most important things you will ever use in life!
Through crafting, I have found a way to combine my creative and playful sides. I have learned how to combine my passions for painting and drawing with my love of design, sewing, textiles and my self-admitted obsession with the 1950s…with lots of emotion and support, Elouart was born in late 2006.
I have learned through multi-crafting, drawing patterns, felting and embroidery, that there is a meditative quality to a repetitive craft, which I have found to be nourishing and deeply relaxing. The natural and renewable resources I use have energized me! Materials, such as wool and cotton, offer an appreciation of nature, centuries of functional uses and lend themselves to provide unique design through color, technique and presentation. I continue to grow in and develop my crafts.
Most days you can find me sitting on the cozy couch or up in my sewing room...felting, stitching, zoning-out, buried under piles and piles of swell fabrics, magazines, pictures, and books, surrounded by the comfort and warmth of my family and lots of colorful monkeys, animals and more...
